Misconfigured DNS is one of the top causes of Shopify store problems. Wrong nameservers, broken SSL, Cloudflare conflicts — Sandy diagnoses and fixes it all.
The Situation
DNS connects your domain to your Shopify store. Even a small misconfiguration can make your store appear offline, break SSL, stop email, and cause checkout failures — with no obvious error message. Cloudflare adds another layer of complexity when not properly configured.
📞 Call 775-870-0488How It Works
Check current nameserver configuration against Shopify and Cloudflare requirements. Identify any mismatches.
Review A records, CNAME records, MX records, and TXT records for accuracy and conflicts.
Check proxy settings, SSL mode, firewall rules, and page rules interfering with Shopify.
Confirm SSL is correctly provisioned by Shopify and not overridden by Cloudflare settings.
Implement corrected DNS and monitor propagation across global DNS servers until fully resolved.
FAQ
DNS changes take time to propagate globally — typically 24-72 hours. However if the store still isn't loading after 72 hours, the DNS records themselves are likely misconfigured. Sandy can audit and correct them.
SSL errors on Shopify are almost always caused by Cloudflare SSL mode conflicts or Shopify's SSL certificate not yet provisioning because of DNS misconfiguration. Both are fixable.
If you've lost access to your Cloudflare account, Sandy can work with Cloudflare's support process to establish ownership and recover access, and can also identify Cloudflare account access through third-party app connections.
